Virgil van Dijk has led the Easter celebrations from footballers past and present including Thomas Muller, David Beckham and Kaka.

The talismanic Liverpool centre half is currently out with a knee injury and is not expected to feature again for Jurgen Klopp’s side this season after a rash tackle on him by Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford in October’s Merseyside derby.

But the Dutchman posed for a picture while out walking with someone in a life-sized Easter bunny costume, with the caption: ‘Happy Easter from me and the big guy!’ followed by a rabbit emoji.
