Milik, 26, is eager to get back playing again and a move to the Premier League would be appealing for him.

Despite the quality that he possesses, getting into a Tottenham side including Harry Kane would be a challenge for Milik. Jose Mourinho’s team also recently signed Carlos Vinicius on loan from Benfica but could still pursue a deal for Milik.

At Everton, meanwhile, Dominic Calvert-Lewin has started the season in superb form, although Milik could possibly play alongside him for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

Milik joined Napoli from Ajax in 2016 and has proceeded to score 48 goals in 122 appearances. He won the Coppa Italia last season.

On the international stage Milik has 15 goals in 54 games for Poland, and he will be eager to rectify his situation at club level so that he can remain in good shape to feature for his country.
