Manchester United are lining up a move for Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik, according to The Sun.
The Polish frontman, reportedly valued at £60million, is currently locked in talks with the Italian outfit over a new contract, but United are poised to swoop should discussions break down.
Boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to bolster the club’s strike force this month, with pressure building once again in the wake of a humiliating derby defeat in Tuesday’s Carabao Cup semi-final first leg.

Milik’s current deal is set to expire next year, and United could be forced to wait until the summer to land their potential target with Napoli desperate to wrestle back a Champions League spot.
The fallen giants are in desperate need of competition for places, with Marcus Rashford, who recently captained his boyhood club, primarily dealing the damage.
And Solskjaer is believed to have identified Milik as the ideal figure to ease the burden on the striker – with the added bonus that the prolific Pole has netted ten times in 12 games for Napoli this season.

Milik had revealed in 2012 that he one day ‘dreams of playing’ for United, and hinted that playing alongside compatriot Robert Lewandowski at Old Trafford would also be an ambition.
Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood have also been fielded up front, but the club continue to actively search for a new striker after missing out on securing highly-coveted starlet Erling Braut Haaland.
United remain interested in snapping up Leicester playmaker James Maddison, meanwhile, although Brendan Rodgers has stressed that the former Norwich star is unlikely to be sold in January.
